2008 College Quarterback Ranking By A NFL Scout

I spoke with my friend who works for a NFL football team and we talked about the upcoming NFL draft and some of the Quarterbacks who might get drafted.

Here is our list of 2008 NFL draft list for quarterbacks.

1. Brian Brohm, 6' 4" 223, Louisville

Brohm is already a very seasoned college quarterback, he stands fourth in school history with 6,751 passing yards and 41 career touchdown throws. He currently holds the school record for completion percentage at 66.2 percent. He also ranks third in school history in total offense with 6,841 yards. Brohm also has eleven 300-yard passing games in his career.

2. Matt Ryan, 6' 4" 221, Boston College

The Heisman Trophy is a possibility, but playing for an under the radar Boston College team will hurt his chances for that award. But that's OK, it seems that winning the Heisman trophy and the NFL are not a good combination.

Coming out of high school at Philadelphia (PA) William Penn Charter, Ryan measured in at 6' 5" 200 pounds and ran a 4.93 forty. He is also known as a smart kid, graduating with a 3.25 GPA.

Coming into his senior season (2007) Ryan looks recovered from that broken foot, and he could emerge a potential first round draft pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. He has excellent size at 6' 4" 224 pounds, and a powerful, accurate arm. Ryan is a tough, gutsy kid that knows how to win games. He stands tall in the pocket, has excellent mechanics and delivery, and has good vision over the entire field.

3. Andre' Woodson, 6' 5" 232, Kentucky

There is a lot to like about Woodson, he is tall and big at 6' 5" 230 pounds and he stands tall in the pocket with an overhead delivery, he will rarely have a ball batted down at the line of scrimmage. He sees the field very well and doesn't stare down just the primary receiver, he is very well coached and is adept at reading defenses; he is just a heady player that makes good decisions with the ball. He has a very strong arm and has very good accuracy with good touch. Woodson is a young man of very high character, is coachable and stays calm under pressure. He has the mental make up that will make an elite NFL quarterback.

4. Colt Brennan, 6' 2" 198, Hawaii

One of the most prolific passers in NCAA History after only his junior season. Colt Brennan looks to become a legitimate NFL Draft Prospect. If he can continue to improve, and prove to all the doubting NFL Scouts that he is more than just a product of June Jones' pass happy system, he has a chance to be a top pick in the upcoming 2008 NFL draft?

5. Eric Ainge, 6' 5" 220, Tennessee

6. Curtis Painter, 6' 4" 224 lbs, Purdue*

7. John David Booty, 6' 2" 208, USC

8. Chad Henne, 6' 2" 223, Michigan

9. Dennis Dixon, 6' 4" 224, Oregon

10. Anthony Morelli, 6' 3" 220, Penn State

11. Sam Keller, 6' 3" 235, Nebraska

12. Paul Smith, 6' 2" 195, Tulsa

13. Matt Flynn, 6' 2" 229, LSU

14. Joe Flacco, 6' 6" 230, Delaware

15. Kyle Wright, 6' 3" 223, Miami (Fl)

16. Omar Haugabook, 6' 2" 220, Troy

17. Josh Johnson, 6' 3" 195, San Diego

18. Ricky Santos, 6' 1" 215, New Hampshire

19. Todd Boeckman, 6' 4" 235, Ohio State

20. Brandon Cox, 6' 2" 211, Auburn

21. Alex Brink, 6' 3" 216, Washington State

22. Kevin O'Connell, 6' 6" 225, San Diego State
